4 Days Kidepo Valley National Park

Our 4 days Kidepo Valley National Park Uganda Safari Itenerary takes us through the iconic rugged savannahKidepo valley national park woodlands located in Kabongo district the region, Karamoja region northeastern Uganda transected by the two meandering reverting Kidepo and Narus rivers proving life to in the ecological niche compacted by shorter red oat grass, fine thatching grass, drumstick trees, taller bunchy Guinea grass and wavy slender palms lining and carpeting the water courses.

Kidepo Valley National Park is the largest park in the sub region of Northeast part of Uganda bordering Sudan in the northwest, Kenya in the north east spanning broadly 1,442 square kilometres. it started as a game reserve in the 1958 which later on was gazetted as a national park in 1962.

What to see in Kidepo Valley National Park

Prime game viewing; the park protects 77 mammals including the zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, bushd-uikers, buffaloes, oribs, warthog, bush pig, and many more, 500 bird species including the ostrich, verreaux’s eagle, Egyptian eagle, pygmy falcon.

Day 1 – Travel to Kidepo Valley National Park wildlife safari

Wake up early morning, prepare for the flight. Our guide/ driver will brief you through the itinerary, drive you to Entebbe International airport for aerial link fly to Kidepo valley National park on the country side. Have an aerial view of Uganda. Arrive at Apoka airfield, Be guided to your lodge or accommodation where you will have your lunch. Day 2: Game Drive in Kidepo Valley National Park

Wake up early morning and enjoy your breakfast, then prepare for the morning game drive. Explore the parks with impressive landscape, see the magical narus valley. Spot out a number of animals in this dry and virgin magnificent land. See wild life like cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, bush duikers, buffaloes, oribs, warthog, bush pig, wild pigs spotted hyenas, leopards, as well as bird species including the ostriches.

After your encounter with the wildlife, return to the lodge for lunch relax and prepare for evening activities. Have an adventure by exploring the community people of the Karamojong culture, how they dress, dance, use the grinding stones and use their Jewries to decorate their bodies, such a thrilling moment to experience a different home away from home. Afterwards return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 3: Hiking Morungole Mountains (semi-arid Karamoja province)

Have your break fast, get prepared for the mountain hike north-east. Observe the rugged, semi-arid Karamoja province near the border with the Sudan. Encounter with IK people who are the local inhabitants, and were moved by a previous administration.

They were attached to Mount Morungole considering it a sacred place, See their way of life, and you may participate in some of their home activities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Retreat from 4 days Kidepo Valley National Park

Wake up have breakfast and prepare for the nature walk on foot, encounter with animals you could have missed during your game drive like the baboons, zebras, hyenas, for bird lovers you will also have a chance to spot out bird species. Return to the lodge enjoy your lunch, check out, depart at 1400 to Entebbe airport, then to your hotel in Kampala
