Tsavo East National Park adds a full recipe on your 5 days holiday Kenya Safari, visiting one of the oldest and largest parks occupying a tranquillity of memories in the semi-arid Savannah near by the Voi town, the park comprises of two sections, the east and west park sections, covering over 13,747 square kilometres bordering the giant rocks of Chulu hills national park and Mkomazi Game reserve in Tanzania. The savannah is dominated by hundreds of Kenya wildlife see eye to eye on the big five Kenya Safari sightseeing the lions, black rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, leopards. What to do and see on a 5 days, 4 Nights Kenya Safari
Day 1: Arrive at the Airport/Travel to Amboseli National Park
Pick up from the hotel/Airport early morning by 8:00am, drive southwards through the traditions of Kenya, observing a magnificent picturesque dotted with African cultures, the bending Nairobi-Mombasa highway to this park offers an amazing road trip experience, Arrive on time, head for lunch at your preferred Camp just in the outskirts of the park.
Amboseli Savannah Park is a back drop to the most hiked Mount Kilimanjaro in the park, for hikers the safari can be tailored with additional budget to include Mountain Hiking Kenya tour, enjoy your game drive in the open savannah to sight see the game and numerous offerings to feed your eyes. Day 2: Amboseli National Park Safari Experience
After your breakfast in the morning, leave the camp along with your packed lunch and visit this park that reminds one of Jurassic park but well, there are no dinosaurs here, just a large whelm of a variety of Kenya wildlife against the back drop of natural beauty rarely found anywhere.
A whole day adventuring the savannah is worthy a kenya Safari experience that fulfils a deep human need, for in the tracts of this serrated savannah we see hundreds of grazing jackals, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, antelopes, spotted hyenas, big cats like leopards, cheetahs and many more.
The savannah is crowned by conical peaks that are seen with wavy whitish snow fumes rumbling down with a clapping sound but not scarring for a mountain hike Safari, Mountain Kilimanjaro offers a major climbing destination in Kenya. Have your lunch picnic with splendid distant look to the whole wrath of the savannah just at your palm. Day 3: Transfer from Amboseli National Park to Tsavo West National Park
Early morning, wake up stretching in the direction of the sun just shining its warm golden light over the sky-piercing mountain Kilimanjaro as well bathing your eyes with a morning savannah breeze, beautiful birds whirling in the freezing air. Prepare and take your breakfast, check out, a 2 hours road drive takes us through the wilderness to Tsavo West National Park and then check in at Kilaguni Serena Lodge overlooking the park. Check in the lodge, have your lunch and prepare for an evening game drive.
Visit the Mzima Springs in the park, which is a watering point to many types of ungulates (animals with hooves) that graze and hunt in the Savannah as well as other wildlife inclusive of the basking reptiles, snakes and other visitors. This place is also loved by birders as it’s a birding destination to hundreds of water loving birds like sunbirds, ducks, and eagles among others. Then return to Kilaguni Serena for dinner and sightseeing the game from the lodge.The following day we shall an option to either spend the full day exploring the Savannah with a lunch picnic or having short gane drives and then returning at the lodge to enjoy the lodge facilities. Day 4: Transfer from Tsavo West National Park – Tsavo East National Park
Wake up early morning at the cool winds blowing all over, prepare for an early game drive in the savannah, the morning game Safari gives us a chance to spot at the early risers and some of the nocturnals. After return back to the lodge and check out, drive to Tsavo East National Park sited in a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert.
The all alone feeling of this section, is a memorable experience visiting the Open plateaus mixed with rocky inselbergs, falls and hundreds of mammals down the plains, some of the most well known and one of the world’s largest game reserves famously known for the tsavo lions, Cape buffalo, caracal, African wildcat, cheetah, duikers, African bush elephant, jackals, leopards, hartebeest, genets, monkeys,rhinos, mongoose, waterbucks, zebras among others.
Arrive at the park, check in at Ashnil Aruba lodge situated on the Galana River (Athi-Galana-Sabaki River) the second longest river in Kenya (after the Tana River). Have lunch and prepare for the evening game drive and a short visit to Lugard Falls (named after Frederick Lugard), and Mudanda Rock a 1.6 km inselberg of stratified rock that forms water catchement areas that offer an excellent vantage point for the hundreds of elephants and other wildlife that come to drink during the dry season. Day 5: Morning game drive, Transfer to Nairobi City/ Nairobi Airport
Early in the morning, prepare for your final depth in the savannah, followed by the breakfast at your lodge, then check out and then depart back, drive through the adventurous road to Nairobi back to your hotel or the Airport.
