Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

Wake up early morning for a cup of tea, our drive/guide will pick you from your hotel to explore a 5 Days Murchison Falls National Park and Kibale safari by 7am so as not to encounter with the traffic jam and also to catch up with the park activities. Drive passed luwero Triangle a city in Uganda remembered for brutal war that brought the ruling government to power, you may have a stop over to buy some fresh fruits and then continue with the journey.

Our next stop over will be at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola where the 19 white Rhinos are inhabited, then have an encounter at the Rhino sanctuary with an experienced game ranger who will give you full information about the rhinos. Enjoy the sight of the second largest animal next to an elephant, their day today life, and you might as well spot out some bird species if you’re a bird lover, a number of tree species, geckoes.

Have lunch at Kabalega dinner, then continue to Murchison falls national park where you might be welcomed by monkeys and baboons along the way at the park environment. For bird lovers you might as well spot out some birds. Check-in and prepare for ferry crossing at the Northern bank of the river to visit the top of the falls and have the best view of the falls during the ferry crossing.

See a variety of wildlife animals at the river bank like the hippos, elephants, Antelopes, Buffalos Nile crocodile, which can be sighted drinking water and cooling their bodies, this experience takes about 4hours. Later, Get off the boat for 40 minutes and walk to the top of the hills, have the best view of the falls. Afterwards, the guide will drive you back to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and an overnight.Accommodation (options): Paara safari lodge, Chobe safari Lodge, Pakuba safari lodge, Red chill hide away, Murchison River lodge, Shoebill camp site, Nile safari lodge. Day 2: Murchison Falls Game drive, Nature walks

Wake up early morning for a heavy breakfast and prepare for the morning game drive to see animals that you could have missed in the evening including the hyenas going back to their dens,hippos going back to water. The guide will have knowledge of where the lion is hiding, Spot out the leopard, Giraffes, Zebras, warthogs and many more after your 4 hour game drive you will go back to the lodge for lunch

Prepare to explore on foot the trails through Kaniyo and Rabongo forest that provides shelter to many primates and in this forest you might spot out bird species, frogs, chameleon, geckos for 2-4 hours. Day 3: Transfer to kibale National Park(Chimpanzee Habitat)

Wake up early morning for breakfast and head to Kibale National park via Lake Albert escarpment. Have a view of lake Albert then continue with the journey, have a stopover in Hoima at kolping Hotel for lunch.

Pass across river Nkusi, the river joining Victoria Nile through Kagadi village enjoying the beautifully scenery of rolling hills as you approach the foot hills of Rwenzori mountain. Other notable feature is here is the tea plantation in the region. Check in at the lodge relax and enjoy your dinner and wait for the next days activities. Accommodation (options):Chimps nest, Kibale forest camp, Primate Lodge. Meal plan: dinner

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking, Birding Kibale National Park

Wake up early morning for a heavy breakfast. Our driver/guide will drive you to the park headquarters for a short briefing about chimpanzees tracking and also to meet the game ranger who will have knowledge about the forest and where the chimpanzees are.

Trek through the loveliest tropical forest, enjoy the beautiful scenery as well as spotting out bird species including long tailed cock ,yellow spotted nectar, rumped tinker bird ,little green bull ,green breasted bird, black be eater, tree species like cardia Millen and many, in addition see ferns and mammals which you might spot as you trek mammals including olive baboons, red and blue duikers, bush bucks, antelopes, elephants, bush pigs, hogs, warthogs, Buffaloes, leopard and golden cats,12 types of primates red colobus monkeys, rare Lhotse’s monkey, Uganda manga bey, blue monkey.

As you trail through, you will hear screams of chimpanzee locating their members, this will also help you faster to find them. Experience how they groom their members, feed, play, build their nest and displaying them for night use. it’s such a thrilling experience learning about the day to day life of these wild apes believed to be the cousins of humans with 98% DNA.

After, go back to the lodge, refresh and head for the evening nature walk in Bigodi swamp eastern edge of the park where you might spot some bird species including the waxbills, cuckoos, weavers kingfishers, fly chancers. You may spot out different types of monkeys including red colobus monkeys, rare Lhotse’s monkey, Uganda manga bey, blue monkey and many more. Day 5 – Retire back with a transfer to the Airport/Your Hotel

Enjoy your breakfast and have your packed lunch. Drive to Fort portal through Mubende and proceed back to Kampala as you drive through beautifully scenery and rolling hills. You will arrive in the evening before 6pm to your hotel or departure.

Murchison Falls National Park (MFNP) is the largest and most visited Savannah National Park in Uganda, and can be accessed north-western Uganda, spreading inland from the shores of Lake Albert, around the Victoria Nile, up to the Karuma Falls on the Kampala–Gulu Highway. The Park covers the Ugandan districts of Kiryandongo, Buliisa, Nwoya, and Masindi to record a landmass of 3,893 km2.
